Coffee grinder with ABS coating
This coffee grinder processes roasted beans into grounds suitable for brewing. A motor powers two burrs—one stationary, one rotating—that crush beans between their edges. The space between the burrs controls particle size, allowing fine powder for espresso or coarser grounds for filter coffee. The method maintains the beans' natural oils and prevents heat build-up or static issues common with blade grinders.
Beans are placed in the hopper, and the operator selects the grind setting. The dose can be adjusted from 5 to 12 g per serving. An included tamper compresses the grounds in the portafilter for consistent extraction. The grinder activates when the portafilter is secured, dispensing the set dose directly into the basket.
The unit features a painted steel exterior with a stainless-steel grinding chamber and burrs for durability and easy maintenance. The hopper holds 0.5 L of beans.
Grind thickness is controlled by a single rotary knob, while a separate dial adjusts the dose between 5 and 12 g. The 0.27 kW motor operates on a 230 V single-phase circuit, compatible with standard kitchen power outlets.
Measuring 170 mm in width, the grinder fits neatly between an espresso machine and a knock-box. Its 340 mm depth suits standard under-counter storage, and the 430 mm height avoids interference with splash-backs or overhead shelves. The 0.5 L hopper volume provides a practical balance between capacity and compactness.
Cleaning involves removing the hopper and burrs for washing. The stainless-steel grinding chamber can be wiped with a damp cloth, while the painted steel exterior is cleaned with mild detergent. The tamper is rinsed under water and dried before use.
