Induction stove with 2 × 8 kW burners
An induction range transfers energy directly into magnetic cookware, heating the pan without warming the surrounding air. A high-frequency electromagnetic field beneath the ceramic surface induces currents in the base of the pan, generating heat only where the pan touches the glass. This method eliminates wasted energy, speeds up cooking and keeps the kitchen cooler than gas or conventional electric hobs.
The ALBA I8/700 induction range places two 8 kW zones side by side on a single 1000 mm worktop. Each zone is controlled by its own rotary knob and digital display. Turn the knob to the right for power mode, adjustable from level 1 to 9, or to the left for temperature mode, where the display shows the exact setting between 70 °C and 110 °C. A residual heat indicator remains lit until the zone is safe to touch, reducing the risk of accidental burns.
To start, place induction-compatible cookware on the zone, select the mode and set the desired level or temperature. The unit responds instantly, bringing the pan to temperature faster than gas. When cooking is complete, lift the pan; the zone cools rapidly, cutting energy use and heat output. A drain channel at the rear collects spills, keeping the work surface clean.
The range is built from AISI 304 stainless steel, including a 6 mm thick ceramic cooking surface that withstands heavy pots and repeated cleaning. Height-adjustable legs allow the unit to sit level on uneven floors, while the open base design simplifies access for cleaning and maintenance. A 230 V outlet and optional pot filler can be fitted to the rear panel, extending the range's functionality without additional worktop space.
A 16 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply, the standard circuit in professional kitchens. The 1000 mm width fits standard worktop depths and allows two chefs to work side by side. The 900 mm height matches most under-counter cupboards, so the range can be installed as a drop-in unit or left freestanding.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the ceramic surface with a damp cloth once it has cooled, and use stainless steel cleaner on the surrounding frame. The drain channel can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the open base allows easy access to the control unit and sensors beneath the glass.
The I8/700 is a single model; optional accessories include the pot filler and a 230 V outlet for small appliances.
