Induction stove with 1 × 5 kW burners
An induction range transfers energy directly into ferromagnetic cookware using a high-frequency electromagnetic field beneath a ceramic glass surface. The field generates heat only in the pan, not in the air or the hob itself, so the kitchen stays cooler and energy is not wasted on heating the surrounding space. This method also allows instant response to power changes, giving the chef immediate control over cooking intensity.
The ALBA I4/700 induction range is operated by rotary knobs and a digital display. To start, the operator places a compatible pan on one of the cooking zones and selects either power mode or temperature mode. Turning the knob to the right switches to power mode, adjustable from level 1 (gentle simmer) to level 9 (full boil). Turning the knob to the left activates temperature mode, where the display shows the set point between 70 °C and 110 °C for precise low-temperature cooking. Each zone has a residual heat indicator that remains lit until the surface is safe to touch.
The unit is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel with a 6 mm thick cooking surface for durability and even heat distribution. The control unit, located beneath the ceramic glass, uses three sensors to monitor the cooking process. Height-adjustable stainless steel legs and an open base design allow the range to be levelled on uneven floors and permit airflow for cooling.
A 5 kW power rating on a 400 V three-phase circuit means the range draws a steady load suitable for commercial kitchen wiring. The 500 mm depth and 700 mm width fit standard worktop layouts, while the 900 mm height aligns with adjacent countertop appliances. The open base design simplifies cleaning beneath the unit, and the smooth stainless steel surfaces can be wiped down after each service.
The range is available with optional accessories: a pot filler for direct water supply and a 230 V outlet for additional small appliances. The ceramic glass surface requires regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners to maintain its appearance and performance.
