Induction stove with 3 × 3.5 kW burners
An induction range transfers energy directly into ferrous cookware using electromagnetic fields, eliminating the need for a traditional heating element. The ceramic surface stays cool to the touch around the pan, while the base of the pan heats rapidly and evenly. This method cuts energy waste, speeds up cooking, and keeps the kitchen cooler by reducing ambient heat output.
The ALBA I3/700 induction range provides three independent cooking zones, each rated at 3.5 kW. The operator places a compatible pan on a zone, selects either power mode or temperature mode using the rotary knob, and sets the desired level or temperature. Power mode adjusts from level 1 to 9, while temperature mode allows precise settings up to 250 °C displayed on the digital screen. A residual heat indicator lights until the zone cools below a safe threshold, preventing accidental burns.
Each zone is controlled by a dedicated rotary knob and sensor beneath the 6 mm thick ceramic glass surface. The knobs turn right for power adjustment and left for temperature setting, with the digital display updating in real time. The open base design and height-adjustable stainless steel legs simplify cleaning and allow the unit to fit under standard worktops.
The range is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, including the cooking surface and frame. A drain channel runs along the rear edge to capture spills, and optional accessories include a pot filler and a 230 V outlet for additional appliances. The 10.5 kW total power requires a 400 V three-phase supply, suitable for commercial kitchen circuits.
Cleaning involves wiping the ceramic surface with a damp cloth after each use, while the stainless steel exterior and drain channel can be sanitised with standard kitchen cleaners. The open base design prevents debris accumulation, and the adjustable legs allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors.
The I3/700 is configured with three 3.5 kW zones, each identical in size and power output. The 1300 mm width fits standard worktop depths, and the 700 mm depth allows for side-by-side installation with other equipment. The 900 mm height, including legs, ensures comfortable operation for standing chefs.
