Electric stove with 4 × 2.5 kW burners and stand
An electric cooker heats cookware directly through electric hotplates, converting electrical energy into controlled heat without open flames. The ALBA VE 40 uses this principle to deliver consistent, adjustable cooking power across its entire surface, allowing multiple dishes to be prepared simultaneously under precise temperature management.
The operator places pots and pans on the 800 × 640 mm cooking surface, selecting the appropriate hotplate for each task. Each hotplate is independently regulated, with settings of 0.55 kW, 1.2 kW and 2.5 kW, allowing fine control over simmering, boiling or frying. An indicator light confirms when a hotplate is active, reducing the risk of accidental contact with a live element. The cooker is switched on at the main supply, and each hotplate is adjusted using its dedicated control knob.
Constructed entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel, the VE 40 resists corrosion and withstands the frequent cleaning demanded in professional kitchens. A retractable drip tray beneath the hotplates collects spills and overflow, preventing liquids from reaching the floor and simplifying daily maintenance. The absence of a raised rear ventilation grid means the full depth of the worktop remains usable, allowing large pots to be positioned right up to the back edge without obstruction.
The 10 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply, the standard for commercial kitchen circuits. This voltage delivers sufficient current to maintain full output across all hotplates simultaneously, supporting high-volume service without voltage drop. The 900 × 900 × 900 mm footprint fits within a standard worktop run, while the 118 kg weight ensures stability during operation but requires two people or a trolley for safe installation and repositioning.
Cleaning involves removing the drip tray, wiping the stainless steel surface with a non-abrasive cloth and approved detergent, and ensuring the hotplates are cool before any contact. The retractable tray is washed separately, and the indicator lights are checked periodically to confirm they remain visible and functional.
The VE 40 model is a standalone electric cooker without oven or grill, designed for integration into a larger kitchen suite or as a dedicated hob unit in professional catering environments.
