An under shelf system creates extra storage beneath existing shelving without adding new units or taking up floor space. It attaches directly to the underside of a shelf, forming a secondary support that holds containers in a single layer. This removes the need to stack trays, which can block access to lower items and increase the risk of spills when retrieving them. The system uses horizontal guides that let each container slide out smoothly, so kitchen staff can reach what they need without lifting or tilting heavy loads above eye level.

The operator positions the under shelf system anywhere along the shelf, clipping it into place so it aligns with the containers above. Once installed, trays or gastronorm pans rest on the support rails, which run the full width of the unit. The guides prevent side-to-side movement, keeping containers stable while they are pulled forward or pushed back. Because the system adapts to any gastronorm measurement, it works with standardised kitchen containers regardless of their depth or width.

Construction is a single piece of rigid material shaped into two parallel rails joined by cross-bars. The 465 mm length spans the width of a typical shelf, while the 40 mm depth keeps the unit compact enough to fit beneath most shelving. At 70 mm high, it provides enough clearance for containers to slide without catching on the shelf above. The small footprint means it can be added to cupboards, worktops or mobile trolleys without reducing usable shelf area.

Cleaning follows from the simple construction: the rails and cross-bars can be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove dust or food debris. There are no moving parts to disassemble or lubricate, so upkeep is limited to occasional checks that the unit remains securely clipped to the shelf.
