The top is pressed. The possibility of liquids getting into the appliance’s body has been minimized as well as the potential failures. The edges on the top plate are rounded which also makes easier to keep the appliance clean and saves the time of the personnel responsible for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
An electric cooking top transfers heat directly from embedded elements to round cast plates, raising their surface temperature evenly across the full 220 mm diameter. The elements draw current through a 400 V three-phase supply, converting electrical energy into radiant and conductive heat without open flames or combustion gases. This method keeps the cooking surface clean, eliminates the need for gas piping, and allows precise control of each plate's output.
The operator places pots or pans on the plates, selects a heat level from the six-position knobs, and starts cooking. Each knob adjusts one 2.6 kW element independently, so two dishes can be prepared at different temperatures simultaneously. The pressed stainless-steel top remains cool outside the heated area, reducing accidental burns and simplifying wipe-down between uses. A removable chimney above the rear edge captures steam and cooking vapours, preventing condensation on nearby cupboards and worktops.
The body is constructed from high-quality stainless steel, resisting corrosion and staining in a busy kitchen environment. Round heating plates, manufactured in the EU, sit flush with the pressed top, creating a continuous surface that is easy to clean. Ergonomic knobs on the front edge allow quick adjustments without reaching across hot surfaces.
The 5.2 kW total power rating indicates the load the cooking top places on the electrical circuit; it requires a dedicated 400 V three-phase connection capable of supplying the full current draw. The 400 mm depth, 730 mm width and 250 mm height define the footprint on the worktop and the space needed beneath for ventilation and wiring. The 400/50 V/Hz specification confirms compatibility with standardised European three-phase power networks.
Cleaning involves removing the chimney and washing it in a dishwasher, then wiping the pressed stainless-steel top and heating plates with a damp cloth. The smooth surface and absence of crevices prevent food debris from accumulating, reducing scrubbing time. Regular inspection of the hair-joint edges ensures the seamless connection to adjacent units remains intact.
The cooking top is part of the GORT LINE 700 modular range, designed for integration with other units in the same series.
