BHS-G One-Piece Floor Drain 300 x 400 mm for Commercial Kitchens

A floor drain collects and directs wastewater from kitchen floors into the drainage system while preventing odours and debris from entering the workspace. This one-piece channel drain is installed level with the floor surface, allowing water to flow along its sloped base towards a central siphon. The siphon traps water inside, creating a seal that blocks sewer gases from rising back into the kitchen.

The drain is set into the floor during construction or renovation. Levelling pins on the side walls allow precise adjustment to match the surrounding floor height, ensuring a flush finish. Once positioned, the channel is sealed to the substrate, and the chosen edge profile is fitted to suit the floor finish—standard, vinyl or tiled. A DN100 outlet pipe connects to the building's drainage system, carrying wastewater away. Optional mesh gratings cover the channel, preventing large debris from entering while allowing water to pass through. Different mesh sizes can be selected to balance flow rate and filtration.

Constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, the channel is formed from sheets 0.8 to 2.0 mm thick, welded into a single, seamless unit. The flat base slopes gently towards the outlet, guiding water without pooling. The central siphon is integrated into the channel, eliminating joints that could leak or trap dirt.

The drain requires no electrical controls. Installation is mechanical, involving positioning, levelling and sealing. Once in place, it operates passively, relying on gravity and the siphon's water seal to function.

The 300 x 400 mm footprint fits beneath worktops, hobs or open kitchen areas where water collects. Its size allows for efficient drainage without occupying excessive floor space, while the stainless steel material ensures durability in wet, high-traffic environments.

Cleaning involves removing the grating and flushing the channel with water to clear debris. The smooth, welded interior prevents dirt from clinging, and the siphon can be accessed for occasional maintenance to ensure the water seal remains intact. No moving parts require lubrication or replacement.

Available edge profiles adapt the drain to standard, vinyl or tiled floors, each designed to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding surface. Optional gratings include smooth or anti-slip mesh in varying densities to suit different kitchen requirements.
