BHS-G One-Piece Floor Drain 500 x 400 mm for Professional Kitchens

A floor drain collects and directs wastewater away from kitchen floors, preventing pooling and slip hazards. The channel is set into the floor with a slight fall towards the outlet, allowing water to flow by gravity into the siphon. The siphon traps debris and blocks sewer gases from rising back into the kitchen, while the welded stainless steel construction resists corrosion and withstands heavy foot traffic and cleaning chemicals.

The operator installs the channel into a prepared floor recess, levelling the side walls with the pins provided. The edge profile is chosen to match the floor finish—standard, vinyl or tiled—and the grating is placed over the channel to catch larger debris. Water runs through the grating, down the sloped channel and into the siphon, where it is discharged through the DN100 pipe. The central siphon position ensures even drainage across the full width of the channel.

Constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, the channel is welded into a single hermetic unit with walls between 0.8 mm and 2.0 mm thick. The outlet includes a siphon and a stainless steel pipe with an external diameter of 108 mm. Side walls feature levelling pins for precise alignment during installation.

The 500 x 400 mm footprint fits standard kitchen floor bays and provides sufficient flow capacity for busy service areas. The flat channel design allows for easy cleaning and reduces the risk of standing water.

Cleaning involves lifting the grating, flushing the channel with water to remove debris, and wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a non-abrasive cleaner. The siphon should be checked periodically to ensure it remains clear of blockages.

Available edge profiles adapt the drain to different floor finishes: standard, vinyl or tiled. Optional gratings include smooth or anti-slip mesh in various sizes to suit traffic levels and hygiene requirements.
