BHS.LV 40 Litre Blue HDPE Storage Container

A rigid plastic container built to hold and move food and non-food goods through busy kitchens and supply chains. The box is shaped to stack securely on standardised 600 mm by 400 mm pallets and trolleys, so it travels from larder to prep area to delivery van without repacking.

The container is made from high-density polyethylene, a material that resists moisture, oils and most acids found in food. It does not absorb odours, so fish, bread and fruit can share the same rack without flavour transfer. The smooth walls and rounded corners allow quick wipe-down between uses, and the plastic withstands repeated washing at temperatures that kill bacteria without warping or cracking.

To use the container, the operator loads it with up to 40 litres of product, slides the lid on if needed, and stacks it on a compatible trolley or shelf. The 600 mm by 400 mm footprint matches the standard worktop and shelving modules used in professional kitchens, so the box fits neatly into existing storage systems. When empty, the containers nest inside one another to save space.

The blue colour helps staff identify the container quickly on crowded shelves and distinguishes it from containers used for different product groups. The 2.25 kg weight keeps the box light enough for one person to lift when full, while the 230 mm height gives enough clearance for most food items without wasting vertical space.

Cleaning is straightforward: the container is washed with hot water and detergent, rinsed, and left to air-dry. The HDPE material does not corrode, so it can be sanitised with food-safe chemicals without damage. No special tools or parts are required for upkeep.
