ISO NOVA chairs are a practical and versatile solution for conference halls, hotels, educational institutions, and other public spaces. Their durable construction and well-thought-out design ensure comfortable and reliable everyday use.
A stackable chair built for frequent use in catering, conference and event spaces, the ISO NOVA O152 combines a rigid steel frame with a contoured seat and backrest that support posture during long sessions. The chair does not rely on a folding mechanism; instead, its fixed geometry distributes weight evenly across the frame, reducing stress on any single joint and allowing safe stacking of up to twelve chairs without deformation or wobble.
The chair is loaded by lifting it by the seat edge or the backrest frame and placing it on top of another chair. The polypropylene seat shell and polyurethane foam padding compress slightly under load, then rebound once the chair is unstacked, so the operator simply lifts the top chair off and repeats until the required number are set out. No tools or adjustments are needed; the chairs interlock by gravity and the shape of the legs.
The frame is made from powder-coated steel tubing, which resists corrosion and chipping in humid or high-traffic environments. The seat and backrest are polypropylene mouldings, chosen for their resistance to stains, scratches and moisture. Polyurethane foam padding is bonded to the seat and backrest shells, providing a firm yet yielding surface that does not sag or harden over time. The grey colour is applied as a pigment in the polypropylene and as a powder coat on the steel, so it does not peel or fade with washing.
Controls are limited to the physical shape of the chair: the seat depth and backrest angle are fixed, while the overall height of 800 mm suits standard worktops and tables. The 5 kg weight allows one person to carry two chairs at once, and the 540 mm width leaves enough space for side-by-side seating without crowding.
Cleaning follows from the materials: the steel frame and polypropylene surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while the foam padding is spot-cleaned to avoid water absorption. The stackable design means chairs can be stored in a compact tower, reducing floor space when not in use. Optional armrests or a desktop can be added to the same frame for different seating needs.
