A circular worktop with an integral sink brings a compact preparation and washing station to a yacht galley. The shape fits the curved bulkheads typical of marine interiors, leaving the centre free for foot traffic and crew movement while still providing a continuous rim for utensils and ingredients.
The principle is straightforward: a single flat surface of corrosion-resistant material is formed into a circle, and a sink bowl is inset at a convenient reach. The rim around the edge prevents items from sliding off when the vessel heels, and the sink gives immediate access to running water without requiring a separate worktop and basin. Hot and cold taps, when fitted, connect to the yacht's existing plumbing, so the station becomes a self-contained unit for rinsing, washing hands, or cleaning small equipment.
To use the table, the operator stands at the open side of the circle, loads ingredients or utensils onto the rim, and works directly over the sink or on the adjacent flat area. Waste water drains through the sink outlet into the yacht's grey-water system, and the continuous surface can be wiped down in one motion without joints or corners trapping debris.
Construction is a single circular top with an inset sink bowl, designed for marine environments. The materials are chosen for resistance to salt water and humidity, ensuring the unit remains stable and corrosion-free over time.
The MI-30 is positioned in the BHS.LV marine catering range as a space-saving worktop solution for yacht galleys where floor area is limited and curved layouts are common.
