A stainless steel shelf designed to extend the worktop of a mobile fast food trailer, providing a continuous surface for order assembly, packaging and point-of-sale equipment. The unit mounts directly onto the trailer frame, creating a stable platform that moves with the trailer and remains level when the trailer is stationary on uneven ground.
The shelf acts as a rigid cantilever: one long edge is fixed to the trailer chassis, while the opposite edge projects outward without intermediate support. This arrangement leaves the floor area beneath the shelf completely clear, allowing staff to stand close to the trailer counter and reach every part of the work surface without obstruction. The open underside also simplifies cleaning and prevents debris from collecting under the unit.
To use the shelf, the operator secures it to the trailer frame with the fasteners provided, ensuring the fixing points align with the pre-drilled holes on the trailer. Once mounted, the shelf becomes part of the trailer's fixed structure and does not require daily assembly or removal. The flat top surface accommodates trays, tills, card readers and packaging materials, while the narrow width keeps everything within easy reach of a single operator standing at the counter.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, chosen for its resistance to corrosion in outdoor and high-humidity environments typical of mobile catering. The material is easy to wipe down between shifts and withstands the frequent cleaning required in food service.
The shelf measures 4950 mm in length, providing a continuous run that matches the full width of most fast food trailers. The 300 mm depth offers sufficient space for order assembly without encroaching on customer walkways, and the 440 mm height positions the work surface at a comfortable working level when the trailer is parked at its standard operating height.
Cleaning involves wiping the top surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service period. The open underside allows access for sweeping or hosing down the area beneath the shelf, preventing build-up of food debris and grease.
