BHS.LV Table Base for 700 mm Worktops

A table base built to support catering worktops up to 700 mm in diameter, providing a stable platform for food preparation, plating or holding equipment. The base stands on a square footprint of 550 mm, raising the work surface to a standard 1100 mm height that matches most professional kitchen counters and hobs.

The base is assembled from separate parts: a central column, a square mounting plate at the top, and a lower base that spreads the load. Each part is formed from steel and finished in black paint for corrosion resistance and a uniform appearance. The mounting plate measures 250 mm by 250 mm with a 3 mm thickness, giving a secure fixing area for the worktop. The lower base uses steel of either 1.4 mm or 2 mm thickness, depending on the variant supplied, and is designed to sit flat on the floor without additional levelling.

Assembly is carried out on site: the column is bolted to the lower base, the mounting plate is fixed to the top of the column, and the worktop is then placed on the plate. The base kit includes all screws required for joining the parts, but screws for attaching the worktop itself are not provided. Once assembled, the base holds the worktop at a fixed height, allowing staff to work without bending or reaching.

The 7 kg weight of the base makes it light enough to move by hand during installation, yet heavy enough to resist accidental knocks once in place. The 550 mm footprint keeps the base within the perimeter of a 700 mm worktop, so it does not protrude into walkways or interfere with adjacent equipment.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the painted steel surfaces with a damp cloth; the base has no moving parts or crevices that trap food debris. The black paint finish can be touched up if scratched, and the steel construction allows the base to be repainted in a different RAL colour if the kitchen scheme changes.

Variants available include different heights, alternative RAL colours, a 4 kg cast iron weight for added stability, and a round aluminium adapter for mounting glass worktops.
