A sturdy table base supports catering worktops up to 700 mm in diameter, providing a stable work surface for food preparation, plating or small appliances. The base stands on a wide circular foot that spreads the load across the floor, preventing tipping when the worktop is unevenly loaded. A central column raises the mounting plate to standard worktop height, allowing staff to work without bending or stretching. The design keeps the worktop level and secure, even when heavy pots or mixers are placed near the edge.

The base arrives as a flat-pack kit for self-assembly. The operator fits the column into the circular foot, secures it with the supplied screws, then attaches the 250 mm square mounting plate to the top of the column. Once assembled, the base is positioned where needed and the worktop is placed on the mounting plate. The worktop is not fixed to the base unless additional screws are purchased separately, so the operator can rotate or reposition the worktop without tools.

The base is constructed from black painted steel throughout. The upper mounting plate is 3.0 mm thick, providing a rigid surface that resists bending under load. The lower foot is available in either 1.4 mm or 2.0 mm steel, giving a choice between lighter weight and extra stability. The black paint finish protects the steel from kitchen moisture and cleaning chemicals, extending the life of the base in a busy environment.

The base measures 430 mm across the foot, 60 mm high at the foot, and 730 mm to the top of the mounting plate. The 5 kg weight allows one person to carry and position the base without assistance. The 700 mm maximum worktop diameter ensures compatibility with standard catering worktops, while the 250 mm mounting plate fits the centre of most tops without overhang.

Cleaning is straightforward: the painted steel surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth and kitchen detergent. The smooth finish prevents dirt from adhering, so daily cleaning takes only a few seconds. The base requires no maintenance beyond occasional tightening of the assembly screws if the unit is moved frequently.

Optional variants include different heights, alternative colours from the RAL palette, a 4.0 kg cast iron weight for extra stability, and a round aluminium adapter for mounting glass worktops.
