A table base provides a stable, adjustable foundation for worktops in professional kitchens, bars and serving areas. The central column transfers the weight of the top and its contents directly to the floor, while the wide base plate spreads the load to prevent tipping. Adjustable feet or levelling screws allow the operator to compensate for uneven floors, ensuring the work surface remains level and secure during use.
The base arrives in separate parts for self-assembly: the chrome-plated steel column, the black-painted steel mounting plate, the circular base and the necessary screws. The operator positions the base on the floor, inserts the column, secures the mounting plate at the top and tightens all screws. Once assembled, the base accepts a worktop up to 600 mm in diameter, which is fixed to the mounting plate with screws not supplied in the set.
The base is constructed from chrome-plated steel for the column and circular foot, with a black-painted steel mounting plate at the top. The lower base is available in two steel thicknesses, 1.4 mm or 2.0 mm, which determine the load capacity and stability. The mounting plate measures 250 mm square and is 3.0 mm thick, providing a secure fixing point for the worktop.
The base stands 1100 mm high and has a footprint of 430 mm in diameter, taking minimal floor space while supporting a worktop large enough for food preparation, plating or serving. At 5.5 kg, the base is light enough to be moved by one person during assembly or repositioning, yet sturdy enough to support a fully loaded worktop.
Cleaning is straightforward: the chrome-plated surfaces wipe clean with a damp cloth, while the painted mounting plate resists splashes and stains. The base requires no maintenance beyond occasional tightening of screws if the unit is moved.
Variants include different heights, colours from the RAL palette, a 4.0 kg cast iron weight for added stability and a round aluminium adapter for mounting glass worktops.
