Round professional waffle maker with the ability to rotate the plate 180° for quick and even distribution of dough.
A round waffle maker that rotates its cast iron plates 180° during baking to spread batter evenly across the entire surface. The two plates close, trapping the batter between them, and the motorised rotation ensures the mixture reaches every part of the mould without manual turning. This method produces waffles of uniform thickness and colour, with crisp edges and a soft centre, while eliminating the need to open the appliance mid-cycle. To begin, the operator pours batter onto the lower plate, closes the lid and sets the adjustable thermostat between 60 °C and 300 °C according to the desired browning. An on/off switch starts the heating element, and a red indicator light confirms power is reaching the plates. A mechanical timer, once wound, counts down the baking period; when it expires, the rotation stops and the plates can be opened. Excess fat drains into a removable collecting pan beneath the plates, reducing smoke and keeping the worktop clean. The frame is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. Inside, the plates are cast iron, seasoned to create a natural non-stick surface that improves with use. Each plate is divided into four equal wedges, allowing the finished waffle to be portioned without cutting. The 195 mm diameter of the plates determines the size of each waffle, while the overall footprint of 315 mm depth, 620 mm width and 300 mm height fits on most worktops without overhang. The 1.6 kW power rating corresponds to a single-phase 230 V supply, the standard circuit found in professional kitchens. The 17.5 kg weight requires two people to lift the unit safely, but once in place it remains stable during operation. The adjustable thermostat opens a range of recipes beyond waffles: low settings bake delicate batter, mid-range crisps hash browns, and the upper limit sears panini or grills vegetables. The stainless steel frame and cast iron plates shed batter residue as soon as the plates are flipped, letting you wipe them clean while still warm without scrubbing. After each service, the operator removes the fat collecting pan and washes it separately. The cast iron plates are wiped with a dry cloth while still warm to preserve the seasoning; abrasives or detergents are avoided. The stainless steel exterior is wiped with a damp cloth and mild cleaner, then dried to prevent water spots. The timer mechanism requires occasional battery replacement, though the unit itself does not depend on them for heating or rotation. The CG180RS is a single model without variants, designed for professional catering environments where consistent results and durability are essential.
