A contact grill presses food between two heated plates, sealing in juices and cooking both sides at once. The upper plate floats on a hinge, so it closes evenly on thick or thin items without crushing them. Heat transfers directly from the metal to the food, cutting cooking time and giving a consistent sear or grill mark across the whole surface.
Set the adjustable thermostat between 60 °C and 300 °C for the process you need—lower for delicate fish, higher for steaks. A safety thermostat prevents overheating. Load the 355 x 355 mm plates with food, close the lid and start the battery timer to track cooking duration. Grease and juices drain into the removable tray below, keeping the plates cleaner between batches.
The grill is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. A cleaning brush is included for daily upkeep of the plates and tray. The 2.4 kW power rating means the unit draws a steady load on a single-phase supply, so it can run alongside other kitchen equipment without tripping breakers. At 31.35 kg, it is heavy enough to stay stable on a worktop but light enough to move with two people. The footprint of 400 x 580 mm fits standard counter depths, leaving room for prep on either side.
An adjustable thermostat lets you switch between gentle warming and high-heat searing without changing appliances. The safety thermostat cuts power if the temperature climbs too high, protecting both the grill and the food. The battery timer runs on two AAA cells, so you can time batches without wiring or mains power. Grease collects in the drip tray, reducing flare-ups and making end-of-service cleaning quicker.
Cleaning follows from the parts the grill has: wipe the stainless steel plates after each service, empty and wash the grease tray, and use the included brush to remove stuck-on residue. The smooth plates need no seasoning, so they are ready for the next menu item as soon as they cool.
