Professional electric crepe maker with two plates with diameter 400mm and with two ON/OFF switches.
This professional double electric crêpe maker features two heated cast iron plates, allowing simultaneous cooking of thin, uniform crêpes. Each plate is powered by its own electric element, ensuring even heat distribution through the thick iron for consistent results. Operators can adjust the temperature precisely using the thermostats, while a safety thermostat prevents overheating if the primary control malfunctions.
To operate, each plate is activated with its dedicated On/Off switch, and the desired temperature is set on the corresponding thermostat. Once heated, batter is poured onto the centre of each plate and spread evenly with a wooden tool. The crêpes cook quickly on the hot surface and are flipped to finish. The independent plates allow one to be set at a lower temperature for fillings while the other remains at full heat.
The unit is constructed with a stainless steel frame supporting two 400 mm diameter cast iron plates, each 27 mm thick. Cast iron retains and distributes heat effectively, while the stainless steel frame provides durability and stability. Two adjustable thermostats per plate offer a temperature range from 140 °C to 300 °C, suitable for both delicate dessert crêpes and hearty savoury galettes. The 230 V supply is designed for professional use, requiring a dedicated circuit. Weighing 34.8 kg, the unit remains stable during operation but can be moved with assistance. Its 910 mm width fits most worktops, leaving room for ingredients and utensils.
Maintenance involves wiping the cast iron plates while warm and applying a light layer of oil to protect the surface. The stainless steel frame can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The adjustable and safety thermostats need only occasional checks to ensure smooth operation.
