A dedicated electric fryer for churros and donuts heats a 16-litre tank of oil with a submerged stainless-steel element. The element warms the oil above it, creating convection currents that circulate heat evenly through the tank. A built-in cold zone directly beneath the element prevents food particles from burning, keeping the oil cleaner and extending its usable life.
The operator fills the tank to the marked level, sets the adjustable thermostat between 50 °C and 190 °C, and waits for the oil to reach the chosen temperature. Once the indicator confirms the set point, the large fine-mesh basket is loaded with raw churros or donuts and lowered into the hot oil. The basket keeps the pastries submerged and allows oil to flow freely around them, ensuring even frying. When the timer sounds, the basket is lifted, drained briefly over the tank, and the finished batch is tipped onto a rack or tray.
The fryer is built entirely of stainless steel for durability and easy cleaning. A safety drain tap at the base of the tank simplifies oil changes, while a secondary safety thermostat cuts power if the primary control fails. The 9 kW heating element requires a 400 V three-phase supply, which is standard in commercial kitchens and provides the high current needed for rapid recovery between batches. The 13 kg weight makes the unit portable enough to move between fair stands or snack bars, yet stable on a worktop. Its 540 mm width, 450 mm depth and 370 mm height fit within most counter spaces without crowding adjacent equipment.
After each service the basket and tank interior are washed with hot water and detergent, then rinsed and dried. The cold zone collects crumbs and debris, which are removed daily to maintain oil quality. The adjustable thermostat is checked periodically for accuracy, and the safety drain tap is inspected for leaks before every oil change.
