A heated steel surface keeps prepared food at serving temperature without drying or over-cooking. The element beneath the stainless-steel plate warms the metal evenly, and the adjustable thermostat holds the chosen temperature between 40 °C and 90 °C. Because the heat travels through the plate rather than directly into the food, moisture is retained and delicate items such as pastries or sauces stay at the correct consistency.
Place the unit on a stable worktop or cupboard. Plug the 230 V lead into a standard single-phase socket. Set the thermostat dial to the desired temperature; the indicator light shows when the element is heating. Once the light cycles off, the surface is ready. Slide GN1/2 gastronorm trays or individual plates onto the steel plate and leave them until service. The low 75 mm height allows stacking above other equipment or under a shelf.
The top is 325 mm long and 285 mm wide, giving enough space for two half-size gastronorm trays side by side. The frame and underside are also stainless steel, chosen for durability and easy cleaning. A single control knob adjusts the temperature from 40 °C to 90 °C, covering gentle warming through to holding cooked dishes at safe serving temperatures. The 0.3 kW power rating means the unit draws a modest load on the kitchen circuit, suitable for shared supplies.
After use, unplug the unit and let it cool. Wipe the steel surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid abrasive pads that could scratch the finish. The low weight of 2.4 kg allows one person to lift and store the unit when not in use. No additional maintenance is required beyond keeping the surface clean and dry.
The article CPCA12 is a single model without variants. It is listed in the Casselin catalogue under counter-top warming equipment.
