A hot display unit keeps cooked burgers at serving temperature without drying them out or overcooking. The Casselin Hot Display for Burgers 55 uses heated shelves and under-shelf lamps to create an even, gentle heat field. Shelves are warmed by electric elements, while the lamps below raise the air temperature in the display cavity. This dual-source heating prevents cold spots and ensures burgers stay juicy and ready to serve for hours.
The operator loads the burgers onto the inclined stainless-steel shelf, which slopes forward so customers can see the product clearly. A thermostat sets the heating power, adjusting the output of both the shelves and the lamps to maintain the chosen temperature between 30 °C and 90 °C. Adjustable width corridors let the operator space the burgers evenly, preventing crowding and ensuring consistent heat distribution. Once the unit is switched on, the lamps and shelves warm up, and the burgers reach the set temperature within minutes.
The construction is black epoxy-painted stainless steel, chosen for durability and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. The inclined storage plan and heated shelves are fixed, while the lamps are positioned under the shelf to direct heat upward. The thermostat control adjusts the overall heating power, and the corridor width adjustment is made by sliding dividers along the shelf.
The 0.49 kW power rating means the unit draws less than half a kilowatt from a standard 230 V single-phase circuit, making it suitable for most commercial kitchen setups. The 550 mm width, 707 mm depth and 430 mm height give it a compact footprint that fits on most worktops or counter displays. At 22 kg, the unit is light enough to move with two people but stable enough to stay in place during service.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The lamps and heating elements are protected by the shelf above, so they stay free of grease splashes. The adjustable dividers can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the epoxy-painted finish resists stains and fingerprints.
The Hot Display for Burgers 55 is a single model with no variants. It is listed in the Casselin counter-top display section of the catalogue.
