A hot display unit keeps prepared fast-food items at serving temperature without drying them out, using gentle radiant heat from shelves and ambient warmth from lamps. The heat spreads evenly across the food, maintaining moisture and texture while allowing customers or staff to see the products clearly under illumination. This method prevents overcooking and ensures items stay ready for quick service during peak hours.
The unit is loaded by placing food on the removable grids above each heating shelf. The operator sets the adjustable thermostat to the desired temperature, up to 70 °C, and switches on the lamps for visibility. Each shelf operates independently, so different items can be held at the same time without flavour transfer. Waste collecting pans beneath the grids catch drips or crumbs, keeping the display clean. When service ends, the grids and pans are removed for cleaning.
Built from stainless steel, the unit resists corrosion and stands up to daily wiping. The two On/Off switches control the lamps separately, while the adjustable thermostat regulates the heating shelves. Removable grids and waste pans simplify maintenance, as they can be taken out and washed in a sink or dishwasher.
The 2 kW power rating means the unit draws a steady load on a standard 230 V circuit, typical for professional kitchen equipment. The 61 kg weight requires two people to move it safely, and the 1200 x 600 x 900 mm footprint fits on most worktops or worktops without overhang. The adjustable thermostat allows precise control for delicate items like pastries or fried foods, while the dual heating shelves expand capacity for busy periods.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces daily, removing and washing the grids and waste pans, and checking the heating elements for food debris. The independent lamp switches let staff turn off one side when only half the display is in use, saving energy.
The unit is designed for fast-food service, with a focus on visibility and temperature control. Its construction suits high-turnover environments where food must stay warm and presentable for extended periods.
