3 stainless steel tubular spits 12 x 12 mm, 543 mm
A vertical gas chicken grill rotates spits above a gas burner, circulating heat evenly around each bird. The rising hot air cooks the meat while the constant rotation bastes it in its own juices, producing crisp skin and tender flesh. Independent controls on each spit let the operator adjust the speed and heat for different sizes or types of poultry at the same time.
The operator loads each bird onto a tubular stainless steel spit, securing it with the prongs. Once the spits are in place, the glass door is closed and the gas supply is opened. The motor is switched on, setting the spits in motion, and the burners are lit. The Low-E tempered glass door allows the cooking process to be monitored without opening the unit, preserving heat and consistency. A removable fat collection bucket catches drippings, reducing flare-ups and simplifying cleaning.
The grill's frame is constructed from ribbed and reinforced stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and its ability to withstand the high temperatures and humidity of a professional kitchen. The 12x12 mm tubular spits are also stainless steel, providing strength and durability under the weight of multiple birds. Interior lighting improves visibility, making it easier to check the progress of each spit without interrupting the cooking cycle.
Each of the three spits is controlled separately, allowing the operator to set different rotation speeds or pause one spit while the others continue. The 230 V motor runs quietly and reliably, drawing power from a standard single-phase circuit found in most commercial kitchens.
The 8 kW gas burner provides sufficient heat for small to medium-scale production, while the compact footprint of 700 mm wide, 391 mm deep and 640 mm high fits into tight worktop spaces. The weight of the unit ensures stability during operation, and the reinforced construction prevents warping or flexing under load.
Cleaning involves removing the fat collection bucket and emptying it after each service. The stainless steel surfaces can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while the spits are removed for thorough cleaning. The Low-E glass door is heat-resistant but should be cleaned with non-abrasive cleaners to avoid scratching the surface.
The 9P-ELBA gas model is part of the Elangrill Elba series, designed for small and medium kitchens requiring a compact, efficient vertical grill with independent spit controls.
