Professional grill with reinforced stainless steel structure, independently rotating skewers, and easy mobility on wheels. Perfect for intensive use, offering efficient performance and easy maintenance.
A charcoal grill heats food by radiant heat from burning charcoal, creating a smoky flavour while the rotating spits ensure even cooking. The charcoal sits in a firebox beneath the spits, and the heat rises to cook the food as it turns.
The Elangrill CM17C operates with 17 spits, each driven by its own motor-reducer. The operator loads the food onto the spits, secures it, and places the spits into the grill. Charcoal is added to the firebox and lit. Once the charcoal is glowing, the spits are started, and the food rotates above the heat. The operator can adjust the height of the spits or the amount of charcoal to control the cooking intensity. Three racks provide space to organise raw and cooked items, keeping the workflow smooth during service. When grilling is complete, the spits are removed, and the ash is collected in the removable drawers for disposal.
The grill is built on a ribbed and reinforced stainless steel frame, giving it strength and corrosion resistance. Four wheels, two with brakes, allow the unit to be moved easily between stations or stored when not in use. The ash drawers slide out for quick cleaning, and the stainless steel surfaces can be wiped down after each service to maintain hygiene.
Each of the 17 spits is 50 cm long, providing ample space for large joints or multiple smaller items. The independent motors ensure that each spit turns at the same speed, preventing uneven cooking. The 125 W power rating reflects the combined load of the motors, which is low enough to run on a standard 230 V circuit without overloading the supply. The 120 kg weight means the grill is stable during operation but can still be rolled by one person when the brakes are released.
The 850 mm width, 565 mm depth and 1620 mm height give the grill a compact footprint for its capacity, fitting into most professional kitchens without taking up excessive floor space. The height allows the operator to load and unload the spits without bending, reducing strain during long services.
Cleaning involves emptying the ash drawers after each use and wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. The spits can be removed and washed separately. The wheels and brakes should be checked periodically to ensure smooth movement and secure positioning.
The CM17C is a single model with no variants. It is designed for use with Elangrill charcoal grills and is not a spare part for other equipment.
This grill is listed in the catering equipment catalogue under charcoal grills and rotisseries.
