Strong stainless steel construction, safe multi-burner, precise temperature control, and automatic spit rotation guarantee perfectly cooked meat every time. An ideal solution for professional kitchens.
An electric grill that replicates the flavour and sear of charcoal without open flames, the Elangrill Churrasco CM14-E uses heating elements beneath a ribbed cooking surface to radiate heat evenly across rotating spits. The elements warm the air and the metal, creating the high surface temperatures needed for caramelisation while the spits turn continuously to prevent burning and ensure even cooking. A temperature regulator adjusts the heat output, allowing the operator to match the intensity to the cut of meat or the stage of cooking, from slow roasting to a final sear. Built-in interior lighting illuminates the food, making it easier to monitor colour and doneness without opening the grill and losing heat.
To begin, the operator loads each of the fourteen 50 cm stainless steel spits with meat, securing it with the prongs. The spits are then placed on the motorised racks, where independent gearbox motors engage and start the rotation. The multigas burner, fitted with a safety valve, ignites to provide additional heat if required, while the electric elements maintain the set temperature. The fat collection tray beneath catches drippings, reducing flare-ups and simplifying cleaning. Three stainless steel racks organise the spits, keeping them clear of each other and allowing hot air to circulate freely around every piece.
The supporting structure is made of ribbed and reinforced stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to warping and corrosion under constant heat and moisture. The removable fat tray is also stainless steel, ensuring it can be lifted out, emptied and washed without damage. Each spit is driven by its own motor, so if one fails the others continue turning, and the gearbox reduces the motor speed to a steady rotation that keeps the meat balanced and evenly exposed to the heat.
A power rating of 10.15 kW indicates the load the grill places on the electrical supply; it requires a 400 V three-phase circuit, the standard for heavy-duty catering equipment in professional kitchens. The 65 kg weight means the unit is moved with a trolley or two people, and the 900 × 570 mm footprint determines the space it occupies on the worktop or floor. The fourteen spits provide capacity for large batches, while the 50 cm length of each spit sets the maximum size of cut that can be accommodated.
Cleaning involves removing the fat tray, wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, and rinsing the spits. The ribbed structure is designed to shed grease, so residue does not build up in corners. The interior lighting can be left in place during cleaning, as it is sealed against moisture.
The CM14-E is the electric variant of the Churrasco series, offering the same spit count and construction as the gas models but with electric heating elements and temperature regulators instead of burners. The catalogue places it in the heavy-duty rotisserie section, alongside other professional grills designed for continuous service in restaurants and catering operations.
