Discover the charm of classic grilling in a modern form — the electric lava rock grill combines authentic smoky aroma with high-quality design and ease of use. An elegant solution for professional kitchens where quality and functionality come first.
An electric lava stone grill replaces gas or charcoal with a heating element beneath a bed of porous volcanic rock. The element warms the stones, which then radiate heat upwards without flame. This method gives the same smoky aroma and sear as an open fire, while the stones hold and spread the heat evenly across the cooking surface. The result is consistent browning and juiciness, whether the food is a thick steak or delicate vegetables.
The operator sets the desired temperature on the control panel, then raises or lowers the grill grate to adjust the distance between the stones and the food. A closer setting gives a fiercer sear; a higher one slows the cooking and lets the heat penetrate gently. Once the stones are hot, the food is placed on the grate and turned as needed. A pull-out drawer beneath the stones collects fat and crumbs, so they do not burn on the hot surface and create smoke.
The 800M is built in stainless steel, which resists corrosion and high temperatures, and is easy to wipe down after service. The adjustable grill grate is also stainless steel, and the lava stones are a natural volcanic material that does not degrade with repeated heating. The unit stands on four legs, with the option of adding doors to enclose the sides and back.
An 8 kW power rating means the grill draws a substantial current and must be connected to a dedicated circuit capable of supplying that load continuously. The footprint of 800 mm wide by 660 mm deep fits a standard worktop or can be placed on a mobile stand for outdoor events where an electrical hook-up is available. The height of 950 mm allows the operator to work standing without bending.
After use, the stones are left to cool, then brushed to remove any food particles. The pull-out drawer is emptied and wiped, and the stainless steel surfaces are cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The lava stones themselves need no maintenance beyond occasional brushing and can be replaced when they show signs of wear.
The grill is available in a free-standing version with or without doors, giving the choice of an open cooking surface or a semi-enclosed unit that retains more heat and protects the stones from draughts.
