Take your grilling experience to the next level with this gas lava rock grill, designed to satisfy the most discerning palates and culinary enthusiasts. The lava rock distributes heat evenly and adds an irresistible smoky flavor.
A gas grill that uses lava rocks to spread heat evenly and infuse food with a natural smoky flavour. The rocks sit above the burners, absorbing and radiating heat across the cooking surface without direct flame contact. This method prevents hot spots and allows delicate items like fish or vegetables to cook through without burning, while still giving meats the sear and aroma of traditional grilling.
To start, the operator opens the gas valve and presses the piezo ignition button. The flame lights instantly, heating the lava rocks within minutes. The adjustable grill grate can then be raised or lowered to set the distance from the heat source, controlling how quickly food cooks and how much char develops. Once the grill is hot, food is placed on the grate and monitored until done. The pull-out drawer beneath the burners collects drippings and residue, reducing flare-ups and keeping the workspace clean during service.
The grill is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. The frame supports the burners, lava rock tray, adjustable grate and pull-out drawer, all housed within a cabinet that measures 470 mm deep, 660 mm wide and 950 mm tall. A 12 kW power rating reflects the gas load the grill places on the supply, requiring a dedicated circuit sized for commercial catering equipment.
Controls include the gas valve, which regulates the flow of fuel, and the piezo ignition button, which generates the spark to light the burners. The adjustable grill height mechanism is operated by a simple lever or knob, allowing quick changes during cooking.
The 470 mm depth and 660 mm width determine the footprint on the worktop or floor, fitting into standard kitchen layouts while leaving space for food preparation alongside. The 950 mm height allows the operator to work comfortably without bending, and the stainless steel construction means the unit can be moved with a trolley or pallet jack when necessary.
Cleaning involves removing the lava rocks and washing them in warm soapy water to dissolve grease, then wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a non-abrasive cloth. The pull-out drawer should be emptied and cleaned after each service to prevent residue build-up and maintain hygiene.
The grill is available in a free-standing version, with or without doors on the cabinet below the cooking surface.
