Take your grilling experience to the next level with this gas lava rock grill, designed to satisfy the most discerning palates and culinary enthusiasts. The lava rock distributes heat evenly and adds an irresistible smoky flavor.
A gas grill that uses lava rocks to spread heat evenly across the cooking surface while infusing food with a natural smoky flavour. The rocks sit above the burners, absorbing and radiating heat so that every part of the grill reaches the same temperature. This method prevents hot spots and allows the grill to sear, char and cook at a steady rate without flare-ups from dripping fat.
To start the grill, the operator turns the gas valve and presses the piezo ignition button; a spark lights the burner and the lava rocks begin to warm. Once the rocks are hot, the adjustable grill grate is set at the desired height: lower for intense searing, higher for slower cooking or delicate items. Food is placed on the grate and monitored until it reaches the required doneness. After cooking, the pull-out residue drawer collects grease and food particles, reducing the amount that falls onto the rocks or the burner.
The entire structure is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and its ability to withstand the high temperatures and moisture of a busy kitchen. The gas valve and piezo ignition are mounted on the front panel, alongside the height adjustment lever. A single 13 kW burner provides the heat, drawing gas from a standard catering supply.
The 650 mm width and 660 mm depth create a compact footprint that fits on most worktops or can be installed as a free-standing unit with or without cupboard doors beneath. The 950 mm height allows the operator to work comfortably while standing, and the stainless steel construction keeps the weight manageable for repositioning when needed.
Cleaning involves removing the grill grate and residue drawer, brushing the lava rocks to dislodge any trapped food, and wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. The rocks themselves do not need to be replaced frequently, but they should be checked periodically for cracks or excessive wear.
The grill is available in two versions: free-standing with doors or free-standing without doors.
