An extraction hood draws airborne grease, steam and cooking odours away from the cooking surface and expels them through ducting. A fan inside the hood pulls the contaminated air upwards, passing it through a grease filter that traps particles before the air is vented outside. This keeps the kitchen atmosphere clear, reduces heat build-up and prevents grease from settling on worktops, cupboards and walls.
The hood mounts directly above the cooking equipment, typically a hob or grill. Once fitted, the operator switches the fan on before cooking begins. The fan continues running until the cooking surface is cool, ensuring all residual steam and odours are removed. No further adjustment is needed during use.
This hood is built for Elangrill GER 10-12 series hobs and grills, matching their width and depth to form a sealed extraction zone above the cooking area.
Cleaning involves removing and washing the grease filter regularly to maintain airflow and prevent fire hazards. The filter is designed to be accessible without tools, allowing quick replacement during service.
