A stainless steel chimney extracts smoke, grease and heat from a commercial grill, directing them out of the kitchen through the building's ventilation system. The chimney connects to the grill's hood or canopy, forming a sealed duct that carries airborne particles upwards. By removing combustion by-products at source, it keeps the workspace clear, reduces odours and prevents grease from settling on surfaces.
The chimney is installed vertically above the grill, secured to the hood outlet with a clamp or flange. Once in place, it channels the rising air stream through the ductwork and out of the building. No moving parts are involved; the system relies on natural convection and the extractor fan already fitted in the hood to pull the air through.
Constructed from stainless steel, the chimney resists corrosion from grease, moisture and cleaning chemicals. Its smooth interior surface discourages grease build-up, making it easier to wipe down during routine kitchen cleaning.
The IC36P is a straight section designed to extend the existing duct run. It fits standard Elangrill grill hoods and can be cut to length on site if required.
