A display refrigerator maintains chilled food at eye level while keeping the interior visible through glass doors. Instead of a compressor running continuously, off-cycle defrost works by periodically stopping the compressor to let the evaporator warm slightly. This melts any frost that has formed, preventing ice build-up without manual intervention. The process is automatic, energy-efficient, and keeps the temperature stable within the set range, making it suitable for environments where the doors are opened frequently but consistent cooling is essential.

The operator loads the shelves with prepared dishes, salads, desserts or drinks, then sets the desired temperature between 0 and 8 °C using the electronic control panel. The digital display shows the current temperature, and the unit maintains it automatically. LED lighting inside the cabinet illuminates the contents, ensuring clear visibility through the double-glazed doors. The doors open and close smoothly, minimising cold air loss each time.

The interior is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a professional kitchen. The exterior is also stainless steel, finished to food-safe standards. Three removable shelves are epoxy-coated to prevent scratches and support GN 2/1 gastronorm trays. Each shelf can hold up to 40 kg and is adjustable in height across 23 positions, allowing the cabinet to be reconfigured for different tray sizes or loose items. The rounded internal corners simplify wiping down surfaces, reducing the risk of trapped food particles.

The cooling power of 0.361 kW indicates the load the refrigerator places on the electrical supply. A 610 litre volume provides ample space for displaying a variety of chilled products while keeping them within reach. The unit's footprint of 653 mm by 842 mm fits into a standard worktop layout, and its height of 2040 mm allows it to stand beneath most overhead cupboards. At 152 kg, the refrigerator is heavy enough to remain stable during frequent door openings but can still be moved with a trolley or pallet jack. Adjustable legs, ranging from 130 mm to 200 mm, help level the unit on uneven floors and allow mopping underneath.

Cleaning involves removing the shelves and wiping down the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The rounded corners and smooth surfaces prevent dirt from accumulating, and the stainless steel construction resists stains and odours. The double-glazed doors reduce condensation, limiting the need for frequent wiping. The off-cycle defrost system eliminates the need for manual defrosting, reducing maintenance time.

The refrigerator is available with a refrigerant version using R600a/R290, which has a slightly higher cooling power of 0.398 kW. The unit is classified as B energy efficiency and meets climate class 3, making it suitable for use in environments with moderate ambient temperatures.
