A display refrigerator keeps chilled food visible while maintaining safe storage temperatures. Instead of a compressor running continuously, the unit cycles on and off to hold the set temperature. Off-cycle defrosting allows the evaporator to warm naturally when the compressor stops, melting any frost without additional heating elements. This method reduces energy use and simplifies maintenance, as no manual defrosting is required. The cooling system circulates cold air evenly across every shelf, ensuring consistent temperatures throughout the cabinet.

The operator loads the refrigerator by opening the single glass door, placing items on the adjustable shelves, and setting the desired temperature between 0 and 8 °C using the electronic control panel. The LED lighting illuminates the interior, making products visible to customers while the door remains closed. The unit maintains the temperature automatically, with the compressor activating only when needed to compensate for heat gain through the door or from new stock.

The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel, inside and out, for durability and easy cleaning. The glass door features double glazing to reduce heat transfer, while 50 mm of insulation minimises cold loss. Adjustable legs allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors, with a height range of 130 to 200 mm. Inside, 18 shelf positions spaced at 70 mm intervals accommodate trays of varying heights. Each epoxy-coated shelf measures 560 by 542 mm and supports up to 40 kg, allowing flexible storage for different product sizes.

The 506 litre volume provides ample space for chilled snacks, desserts, or pre-prepared meals, while the 0 to 8 °C temperature range suits items that require refrigeration but not freezing. The 0.361 kW cooling power reflects the load the unit places on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated 220–240 V single-phase circuit. At 150 kg, the refrigerator is heavy enough to remain stable during use but may require two people to move. The 693 by 739 mm footprint determines the floor space it occupies, while the 2067 mm height fits under standard worktop overhangs.

Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces and removing the shelves for thorough washing. The off-cycle defrost system eliminates the need for manual defrosting, though the evaporator should be checked periodically for excessive frost build-up. The refrigerant R600a is used in this model, with an alternative R290 version available for 60 Hz power supplies.

The unit is classified as Energy Efficiency Class B, indicating its performance relative to other professional refrigeration equipment. Adjustable shelving and a single glass door make it suitable for front-of-house display in cafés, canteens, and retail food outlets.
