Fagor CUP-22S GD 1109 L Display Refrigerator with Off-Cycle Defrost

A display refrigerator keeps chilled food visible while maintaining safe storage temperatures. The unit circulates cold air across the interior with a fan, ensuring even cooling from top to bottom. Off-cycle defrost works by temporarily stopping the compressor, allowing any frost to melt without manual intervention. This method reduces maintenance and keeps the cabinet running efficiently during service hours.

The operator loads products onto the adjustable shelves, sets the desired temperature between 0 °C and 8 °C using the electronic control panel, and closes the two glass doors. LED lighting illuminates the interior, making items easy to see without opening the cabinet. The refrigerator maintains the set temperature automatically, while the fan distributes cold air evenly across every shelf.

The cabinet is built from stainless steel inside and out, with double-glazed glass doors that reduce cold loss. A 50 mm layer of insulation surrounds the interior, helping to maintain a stable temperature. The doors open to reveal 18 possible shelf positions, each adjustable in 70 mm increments. The shelves themselves are epoxy-coated, removable, and rated to hold up to 40 kg each. Adjustable legs allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors between 130 mm and 200 mm.

The 1109 litre volume provides ample space for prepared dishes, drinks or desserts in a busy kitchen. The 0 °C to 8 °C temperature range is suitable for chilled ready-to-eat items, dairy products and bottled drinks. The 300 kg weight indicates the unit is designed to stay in place once positioned, while the 1388 mm width requires a dedicated space on the worktop or floor. The 0.436 kW cooling power reflects the load on the electrical circuit, which must supply 220–240 V at 50 Hz.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces and glass doors with a damp cloth. The shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the epoxy coating resists moisture and stains. The off-cycle defrost system eliminates the need to manually defrost the evaporator, reducing daily upkeep.

The model is available in a 60 Hz version with refrigerant R600a and a 0.437 kW cooling power.
