| NOTES | Hot gas defrost ; D energy efficiency class |
Professional freezer made of AISI 304 stainless steel with forced-air circulation, ensuring a uniform temperature of -18…-22 °C throughout the cabinet. Equipped with electronic controls and LED lighting; defrosting is performed using a hot gas defrost system, ensuring fast, efficient and stable operation.
A commercial freezer removes heat from the storage space and expels it outside, lowering the temperature below the freezing point of water. A compressor circulates refrigerant through a closed loop; the refrigerant absorbs heat inside the cabinet and releases it through a condenser coil at the back. This continuous cycle maintains the set temperature, preserving food by slowing bacterial growth and chemical reactions. Forced-air circulation distributes cold air evenly, preventing warm spots and ensuring uniform freezing across every shelf.
The operator loads the freezer by opening the two doors and placing trays or containers on the three removable GN 2/1 epoxy-coated shelves. The shelves slide along vertical guides that offer multiple height settings, allowing adjustment for different product sizes. Once the load is in place, the doors are closed and the electronic control panel is set to the desired temperature between -18 °C and -22 °C. The unit then runs automatically, with the compressor and fan maintaining the temperature. Hot gas defrost periodically reverses the refrigerant flow, warming the evaporator coils to melt accumulated frost without raising the cabinet temperature significantly. After defrost, the cycle resumes and the temperature returns to the set point.
The 543 L volume provides space for bulk storage in a footprint of 653 mm width, 842 mm depth and 2040 mm height. The 152 kg weight requires a stable floor and a trolley for moving. Three GN 2/1 shelves support up to 40 kg each, matching standard gastronorm tray dimensions. The 0.535 kW cooling power indicates the rate at which the unit extracts heat, determining how quickly it can pull down the temperature after the doors are opened. The -22 °C lower limit allows safe long-term storage of frozen goods, while the D energy class reflects the balance between cooling performance and electricity consumption.
The cabinet is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel inside and food-grade stainless steel outside, with 60 mm high-density polyurethane insulation between the walls. Rounded internal corners and an integrated drainage system simplify cleaning, while magnetic door seals and ergonomic handles reduce cold-air loss during frequent opening. Adjustable stainless-steel legs allow levelling on uneven floors, and internal LED lighting improves visibility without adding heat.
A 60 Hz version with 0.720 kW cooling power is available as a separate article.
