| NOTES | Hot gas defrost ; E energy efficiency class |
Professional freezer made of AISI 304 stainless steel with forced-air circulation, ensuring a uniform temperature of -18…-22 °C throughout the cabinet. Equipped with electronic controls and LED lighting; defrosting is performed using a hot gas defrost system, ensuring fast, efficient and stable operation.
A professional upright freezer built for high-volume kitchens, the FAGOR CUN-22G uses a refrigeration cycle that removes heat from the interior and expels it outside. The compressor circulates refrigerant R290 through coils; as the gas expands, it absorbs heat from the air inside the cabinet, lowering the temperature to between -18 and -22 °C. Forced-air circulation then spreads the cold evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and preserving frozen goods without dehydration.
Hot gas defrost reverses the cycle briefly: instead of absorbing heat, the refrigerant is routed back through the evaporator coils as a hot gas, melting any ice build-up quickly and without raising the cabinet temperature. This keeps the freezer ready for the next load without manual scraping or downtime.
Loading is organised in two vertical compartments, each accessed by its own full-height door. Six removable epoxy-coated shelves conform to the GN 2/1 gastronorm standard, so trays and containers slide in without wasted space. The shelves rest on adjustable rails that offer 23 positions at 55 mm intervals, allowing the interior to be reconfigured for tall items or stacked trays. Each shelf supports up to 40 kg, and the total usable volume is 1186 litres.
The cabinet is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel inside and out, chosen for corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. Rounded interior corners and an integrated drainage channel simplify daily wipe-downs, while 60 mm of high-density polyurethane insulation minimises cold loss and keeps the compressor from overworking. Two doors with magnetic seals and ergonomic handles reduce air exchange every time they open, helping maintain the set temperature.
Controls are mounted on a front panel above the doors. An electronic controller with a digital display sets the target temperature, and an LED strip inside the cabinet provides even lighting so staff can locate items without opening the door longer than necessary. The unit runs on a 220-240 V single-phase supply at 50 Hz, drawing 0.907 kW of cooling power. Adjustable stainless-steel legs allow the freezer to be levelled between 130 and 200 mm off the floor, making it easier to clean underneath and to fit into uneven kitchen spaces.
The 1318 mm width, 842 mm depth and 2040 mm height create a footprint that fits standard kitchen layouts while offering 1186 litres of storage. At 300 kg, the freezer is heavy enough to remain stable during daily use but can still be moved with a pallet truck or trolley. A 60 Hz version is also available, drawing 0.799 kW and supplied under a separate article number.
