Professional dual-temperature refrigeration unit made of AISI 304 stainless steel with a monoblock cooling system and forced-air circulation. The unit is divided into two independent compartments: a refrigerator compartment with a temperature range of 0…+8 °C and a freezer compartment with a temperature range of -18…-22 °C. Equipped with electronic controls and a HACCP control system; the refrigerator compartment is defrosted by stopping the compressor, while the freezer compartment uses an electric defrost system.
A monoblock refrigeration system combines cooling and freezing in one unit, eliminating the need for separate external condensers. The compressor circulates refrigerant through a closed loop, absorbing heat from the interior and releasing it outside. This design saves space in a professional kitchen and simplifies installation, as the entire cooling mechanism is self-contained within the cabinet.
The MUD-22G/M splits its 1144 litres into two independent compartments: a refrigerator section held between 0 and +8 °C, and a freezer section maintained at -18 to -22 °C. Each zone has its own temperature control, allowing simultaneous storage of fresh ingredients and frozen goods without flavour transfer or temperature fluctuation. Forced-air circulation distributes cold air evenly across every shelf, ensuring consistent conditions from the top to the bottom of the cabinet.
Operation begins by loading the six removable GN 2/1 epoxy-coated shelves with gastronorm trays or loose product. The electronic control panel on the front sets the desired temperature for each zone; the refrigerator defrosts automatically when the compressor cycles off, while the freezer uses an electric defrost system to clear ice build-up. An integrated HACCP monitoring system logs temperature data, helping kitchen staff maintain compliance with food-safety regulations.
The interior and exterior are constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of sanitisation. A 60 mm layer of insulation surrounds the cabinet, reducing cold loss and keeping energy consumption low. Adjustable shelf guides offer 23 possible positions at 60 mm intervals, allowing the interior to be reconfigured for different tray heights or bulk items.
The 1318 mm width, 796 mm depth and 1996 mm height create a footprint that fits standard kitchen layouts while providing ample storage. The 310 kg weight indicates a sturdy build designed for daily use, and the monoblock design places the condenser at the top of the unit for straightforward access during cleaning or servicing.
Cleaning involves removing the shelves, wiping down the stainless-steel surfaces with a mild detergent, and vacuuming the condenser coils to maintain airflow. The off-cycle and electric defrost systems reduce manual intervention, but the freezer section should be checked periodically for ice accumulation that could restrict air movement.
A refrigerant R600a/R290 version is available as an alternative, offering a different cooling performance profile for kitchens with specific environmental or efficiency requirements.
The unit is designed for GN 2/1 gastronorm trays, making it compatible with standard catering containers and shelving systems used throughout professional kitchens.
