FAGOR MONOBLOCK GN 2/1 1144 L Display Refrigerator

A monoblock refrigeration unit built into a stainless-steel display case keeps chilled goods visible while maintaining a stable temperature between 0 and 8 °C. The system circulates cold air continuously, drawing heat from the cabinet and expelling it through a single, self-contained outdoor coil. Because the coil is mounted directly on the cabinet, there is no need for external pipework, making installation simpler and freeing up space in the plant room.

The operator loads the shelves with prepared dishes, pastries or bottled drinks, then sets the target temperature on the electronic control panel. An internal fan distributes the cold air evenly across every shelf, ensuring that every item stays within the safe 0–8 °C band. When the set point is reached, the compressor cycles off and the unit enters a passive defrost phase, melting any frost that has formed on the coil without adding heat to the cabinet. A digital display shows the current temperature, while an integrated HACCP logger records the readings for later review.

Six epoxy-coated GN 2/1 shelves slide along vertical rails that offer 23 adjustable positions at 60 mm intervals. The shelves can be removed for cleaning or repositioned to accommodate taller items. The entire interior and exterior are clad in stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of sanitising. A 60 mm layer of insulation surrounds the cabinet, reducing cold loss and helping the unit maintain temperature even when the ambient room is warm.

Two double-glazed doors with ergonomic handles seal the front, cutting heat transfer while keeping the contents visible. Adjustable legs allow the cabinet to be levelled between 130 mm and 200 mm, making it easier to clean underneath and to align the unit with existing worktops. The cooling circuit uses R600a refrigerant, and the 0.436 kW compressor draws power from a standard 60 Hz supply.

The 1144 L volume is divided into a single, unobstructed chamber that measures 1318 mm wide, 796 mm deep and 1996 mm high. At 270 kg, the unit is designed to be moved on a pallet truck or forklift, and the monoblock construction means the entire refrigeration system travels with the cabinet.

Cleaning follows the same routine as any stainless-steel refrigeration unit: shelves and rails are removed, wiped down with a food-safe sanitiser, and dried before being replaced. The coil and fan assembly are accessible from the rear, allowing the operator to clear dust and debris without dismantling the cabinet.
