Professional wine refrigerator with an elegant and modern design, intended for storing and displaying wine bottles. The unit is equipped with double-glazed doors with a UV filter, forced air circulation, LED lighting, electronic control with a digital display and an energy-saving function. The temperature range is +5…+16 °C. Defrosting is performed by stopping the compressor.
A wine refrigerator maintains a steady, low-vibration environment where bottles rest horizontally on wooden grids. Cooling coils embedded in the cabinet walls draw heat from the air, while a small fan circulates the chilled air evenly across every shelf. The off-cycle defrost system allows frost to melt naturally during compressor rest periods, eliminating the need for manual defrosting and reducing temperature fluctuations that can disturb sediment in aged wines.
The operator loads up to thirty standard Bordeaux bottles through the double-glazed door, sets the desired temperature between +4 °C and +18 °C on the digital control panel, and leaves the unit to run continuously. An internal LED strip illuminates the bottles without generating heat, so the display remains clear while the climate inside stays stable. The UV-filtered glass blocks harmful sunlight, preserving the wine's colour and flavour over long storage periods.
The exterior is black-coated galvanised steel, while the interior liner is seamless thermoformed plastic with integrated shelf guides. A 45 mm layer of high-density polyurethane foam insulates the cabinet, reducing cold loss and maintaining temperature consistency even when ambient conditions vary. The single wooden grid supports the bottles evenly, preventing rolling and allowing air to circulate beneath each one.
Controls include a digital display and energy-saving mode. The display shows the current internal temperature, and the energy-saving function adjusts cooling cycles to minimise power consumption without compromising storage conditions.
A 0.188 kW cooling power rating reflects the load on the electrical circuit, suitable for a standard 220-240 V supply found in professional kitchens and bars. The 48 kg weight indicates the unit is designed to be moved by two people or with a sack trolley, while the 586 × 506 × 941 mm footprint fits under most worktops or into dedicated storage alcoves. The +4 °C to +18 °C temperature range accommodates both long-term ageing and short-term chilling for service, covering red, white and sparkling wines.
Cleaning involves wiping the interior liner with a damp cloth and mild detergent, removing the wooden grid to clean beneath it, and dusting the exterior steel surfaces. The LED lighting can be left on during cleaning to improve visibility. The refrigerant R600a requires no routine maintenance beyond ensuring the cabinet remains level to prevent compressor strain.
The RWC-180 is supplied with one wooden grid as standard. It is classified under professional refrigeration for wine storage and service.
