This high-speed mixer features two independent stainless-steel bowls, each driven at a fixed rate of 16000 rpm. It processes small batches of sauces, dressings, purées or batters quickly without transferring heat to the ingredients. The separate bowls allow two different mixtures to be prepared simultaneously or the same recipe to be repeated without cross-contamination.
Each bowl holds 0.55 litres of ingredients. The operator secures the lid and starts the motor, monitoring the mixture until the desired consistency is achieved.
The unit consists of two identical stainless-steel modules mounted side by side on a single base. Each module has its own motor, bowl and lid, controlled by a single power switch. It operates on a 230 V single-phase supply and can be connected to a standard socket. The compact dimensions of 300 mm by 195 mm allow it to fit on a worktop or shelf, and its 5 kg weight makes it easy to carry.
A single on-off switch controls both motors. There is no timer or variable speed, so the operator relies on visual and auditory cues to determine when the mixture is ready. The high speed and small volume minimise the risk of over-processing, but the operator should stop the motor promptly to avoid aeration or separation.
Each bowl is powered by a 0.12 kW motor, resulting in a low electrical load. This allows the mixer to be used alongside other equipment on the same circuit without overloading it. The 16000 rpm speed is suited for tasks requiring rapid shear, such as emulsifying oil and vinegar or chopping herbs, but it is not appropriate for doughs, batters with raising agents, or mixtures needing air retention.
Cleaning is straightforward, focusing on the bowls, lids and stainless-steel surfaces that come into contact with food. The bowls and lids are removable and dishwasher-safe, while the fixed parts can be wiped with a damp cloth. The design avoids crevices or hidden areas, ensuring quick and thorough maintenance.
The FP2 L is available as a single model without variants and is categorised under high-speed mixers for small-batch processing.
