A manual hamburger press shapes loose minced meat into uniform patties without electricity. The operator places a measured portion of meat between two flat plates, then presses the handles together. The plates close evenly, compressing the meat into a round, flat disc of consistent thickness and diameter. This mechanical action ensures every patty is the same size, which promotes even cooking and a uniform appearance on the plate.
To use the FIMAR BHS-F10, the operator lifts the top plate, places the meat on the lower plate, then lowers the top plate and presses the handles firmly until the plates meet. The patty is released by lifting the top plate, ready to be transferred to the grill or griddle. The process is repeated for each portion, allowing quick production of multiple patties during service.
The press is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its durability and resistance to corrosion in a busy kitchen environment. The handles are positioned at either side, providing a balanced grip for the operator. The unit measures 300 mm in length, 190 mm in width and 285 mm in height, fitting neatly on a standard worktop without occupying excessive space.
The 5 kg weight keeps the press stable during use, preventing it from shifting while pressure is applied. The compact footprint and moderate weight also allow the unit to be stored in a cupboard or on a shelf when not in use.
Cleaning involves wiping the plates and handles with a damp cloth after each use to remove meat residue. For thorough cleaning, the press can be disassembled by removing the retaining screws, allowing access to all surfaces. Regular cleaning prevents the build-up of fat and bacteria, maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen.
