+5°C / +18 °C Static glass door refrigerated wine cooler. Delivery time ~ 2 weeks
A static refrigerated wine cooler keeps bottles at serving temperature without vibration, preserving sediment and flavour. The cooling system circulates air gently through an insulated chamber, drawing heat away from the wine and expelling it at the rear. This method avoids the movement of a fan, which can disturb older vintages, while maintaining a steady climate between +5 °C for whites and +18 °C for reds. The R600a refrigerant absorbs heat efficiently, condensing inside the sealed circuit and evaporating again to repeat the cycle. Automatic defrosting prevents ice build-up, and condensed water evaporates without manual drainage, keeping the interior dry and clean.
To use the cooler, slide the grid out, place bottles horizontally on the pair of runners, and return the grid to its position. Set the electronic control to the desired temperature; the LED interior light illuminates the cabinet when the door is opened. The cooler operates continuously, adjusting its 77 W compressor to hold the chosen climate even when ambient conditions reach +33 °C and 60% humidity.
The cabinet is built with a black-painted steel exterior and an embossed aluminium interior, joined by 40 mm of insulation. A single glass door seals the chamber, and the door cannot be reversed. The cooler stands 860 mm high, 600 mm wide and 603 mm deep, with an internal space of 520 mm by 470 mm by 695 mm. At 66 kg, it is moved on castors or carried by two people.
The 220–240 V, 50 Hz power requirement matches a standard British single-phase circuit, allowing installation near a worktop without special wiring. The 77 W consumption reflects the low load needed to maintain temperature rather than to chill rapidly. The +5 °C to +18 °C range covers most serving temperatures, while the 24-bottle capacity suits a small restaurant or bar.
Cleaning involves wiping the aluminium interior and glass door with a damp cloth, and occasionally dusting the condenser grille at the rear. The automatic defrost and water evaporation eliminate the need for manual drainage. The supplied grid and slides are removed for washing separately.
The Glass Line G-BJ118 is a static, single-zone wine cooler with no variants. It is listed in the catalogue under professional refrigeration for beverage service.
