A shoeshine machine keeps footwear polished without brushes or tins of wax. The unit holds a rotating drum lined with polishing cloth, and a small motor turns the drum against the shoe. Polish is applied to the cloth, and the drum's motion spreads it evenly across the leather while the operator holds the shoe in place. This method removes the need for hand-brushing and gives a consistent shine in less time than manual polishing.
To use the LU4131, the operator plugs the machine into a standard 230 V socket, applies polish to the drum, and switches the motor on. The shoe is pressed lightly against the rotating cloth until the surface is polished. The machine is then switched off and unplugged after use.
The LU4131 is built as a free-standing unit on a white metal frame. Its footprint of 420 by 300 mm fits against a wall in a staff changing room or corridor, and its height of 830 mm allows use while standing. The motor draws 0.15 kW, which is a light load on a standard ring circuit.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the drum and frame with a damp cloth to remove excess polish and dust. The unit requires no lubrication or replacement of parts during normal use.
The LU4131 is placed in the staff welfare section of the catalogue, not in front-of-house or guest areas.
