Plug-in system
A freezer table combines refrigerated storage with a worktop, keeping ingredients at sub-zero temperatures while providing a solid surface for food preparation. The unit circulates cold air through a ventilated cooling system, pulling heat from the interior and expelling it outside. This continuous airflow maintains an even temperature across every shelf, preventing hot spots that could thaw stored items prematurely. The refrigerant, a hydrocarbon, absorbs heat as it evaporates inside the coils and releases it when compressed, repeating the cycle without depleting the ozone layer or contributing significantly to global warming. To use the table, the operator loads GN 1/1 gastronorm containers onto the two shelves behind each door. The digital touch control panel on the front sets the target temperature between -15 and -20 °C. Once the compressor starts, the ventilated system distributes cold air evenly, while the automatic defrost programme periodically activates heating elements to melt any ice build-up. The melted water is collected and evaporated, eliminating the need for manual drainage. The worktop remains clear for chopping, portioning or assembling dishes, and the doors open to reveal the stored containers without interrupting the cold chain. The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, ease of cleaning and compliance with food-safety standards. A 50 mm insulation layer surrounds the interior, reducing heat transfer and stabilising the internal temperature. The technical compartment, housing the compressor and condenser, can be positioned on either side to fit the kitchen layout. Two GN 1/1 shelves are included, each capable of holding standard gastronorm containers. The worktop is also stainless steel, providing a durable, non-porous surface that withstands daily use. The 230 V single-phase power supply matches the standard circuit found in most professional kitchens, allowing the table to be plugged into a dedicated socket without requiring special wiring. The 0.791 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical system, while the 9.95 kWh per 24 hours reflects the energy consumption needed to maintain the set temperature. The 426 L capacity allows storage of multiple GN 1/1 containers, and the 198 kg weight requires a sturdy floor and at least two people to move the unit safely. The 2220 mm width, 700 mm depth and 900 mm height determine the space the table occupies, including clearance for door swing and ventilation. The seamless stainless-steel worktop and rounded interior corners let you wipe down every surface in seconds after a busy service without trapped food or moisture. The automatic defrost system reduces manual maintenance, but the condenser coils should be checked periodically for dust accumulation, which can impair efficiency. The touch control panel can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth to avoid damaging the digital display. The THBD/220 model is designed for GN 1/1 containers and includes two shelves as standard. The technical compartment can be installed on the left or right side, and drawer configurations are available upon request. The unit is prearranged for plinth installation, allowing it to be raised to match the height of adjacent worktops. The freezer table is categorised under refrigeration equipment for professional kitchens, specifically under freezer tables with worktop surfaces.
