Pizza preparation counter with granite worktop and 2 doors
A refrigerated pizza counter keeps dough, toppings and finished pizzas chilled while they wait for the oven. The unit circulates cold air across every shelf, drawing heat out of the food and expelling it at the rear. Because the air is moved by a fan, the temperature stays even from the front to the back of each tray, and the counter can hold more food without hot spots. The refrigerant absorbs the heat inside the cabinet and releases it outside, so the kitchen stays cooler and the compressor runs less often. A digital controller adjusts the fan speed and compressor cycle to keep the temperature steady, which keeps the dough at the right consistency and stops toppings from drying out or wilting. The operator loads standard 600 × 400 mm gastronorm trays onto the runners inside the cabinet. Each door opens to a pair of runners, and a shelf can be fitted above or below for smaller containers or loose ingredients. The granite worktop gives a solid, cool surface for rolling dough or assembling pizzas. The touchscreen on the front sets the temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C, and the display shows the current reading. When the counter is switched on, the automatic defrost cycle starts at intervals, melting any ice that has formed on the evaporator. The water runs into a tray under the compressor, where it evaporates without needing a drain. The cabinet is built from stainless steel, inside and out, so it resists corrosion and can be wiped down quickly. The granite top is sealed to the steel frame, leaving no gaps where flour or sauce can collect. The refrigeration system is mounted on the right side, so the counter can stand against a wall or between other worktops without blocking access. The door seals are magnetic, closing tightly to keep the cold air inside and the warm air out. The 1500 mm width holds six GN 1/3 trays, three on each side. The 820 mm depth leaves room for trays to slide in and out without scraping the sides, and the 1500 mm height puts the worktop at a comfortable level for rolling dough. The 0.41 kW power rating is the load when the compressor and fan are running; the 0.145 kW is the average over time, which helps plan the kitchen's electrical supply. The 230 V single-phase connection plugs into a standard UK socket, so the counter can be moved without rewiring. The R290 refrigerant is a hydrocarbon that does not harm the ozone layer and has a low global-warming potential, so it meets current environmental regulations. Stainless steel surfaces and seamless welds let you wipe down the granite-topped counter in minutes after a busy service, keeping raw dough and tomato sauce from lingering. The stainless steel surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth and sanitiser, and the granite top can be scrubbed with a non-abrasive cleaner. The runners and shelves lift out for washing in a sink. The automatic defrost and condensate evaporation systems reduce the need for manual draining, but the tray under the compressor should be checked and emptied if it fills. The door seals should be inspected regularly and replaced if they become cracked or brittle. The PC/150 is a single model with no variants. It is listed in the catalogue under refrigerated preparation counters for bakery and pastry use.
