The operator wheels a loaded trolley into the chamber, closes the single door, and sets the digital control on the back panel to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +10 °C. The ventilated cooling system starts automatically, circulating air across every shelf. Interior bumpers protect the walls from trolley contact, and an automatic defrost cycle melts frost without manual intervention. When the door is opened, the fan pauses to minimise cold loss, then resumes once the door is shut again.

The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning under heavy use. The 80 mm insulation layer reduces energy consumption by retaining cold, while the R290 refrigerant offers efficient cooling with a lower environmental impact. The unit's footprint of 1020x1170 mm fits standard kitchen layouts, and its 270 kg weight requires a stable floor or reinforced worktop.

A single-phase 230 V supply powers the 0.605 kW compressor, suitable for a standard UK kitchen circuit. The temperature range of +2 °C to +10 °C covers storage for fresh produce, dairy, and prepared dishes, while the 1400 L capacity accommodates either two 600x400 mm trolleys or one 600x800 mm trolley, allowing flexibility in workflow organisation.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel interior and exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, focusing on the door seal and bumpers where debris can collect. The automatic defrost system reduces manual upkeep, but the condenser coil should be checked periodically for dust build-up to maintain efficiency.
