A wine display cooler maintains a steady, cool environment that protects bottles from temperature swings and light damage. The unit circulates refrigerated air around the bottles, keeping the humidity at a level that prevents corks from drying out. A compressor draws heat from the cabinet and expels it outside, while a thermostat cycles the system to hold the set temperature. The cooler's insulation slows heat transfer from the room, reducing the compressor's workload and cutting energy use. To use the GEMM WD5/121, plug the unit into a 230 V single-phase supply. Set the desired temperature between +4 °C and +16 °C on the 2.8″ touch-control panel. Load up to 144 bottles onto the internal shelves; the cooler will automatically defrost and drain condensate without manual intervention. The lockable door secures the stock, while internal LED lighting illuminates the labels. The cabinet is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. A 50 mm layer of thermal insulation lines the walls, floor and ceiling, reducing heat gain and stabilising the internal climate. The refrigerant R290 is a hydrocarbon with low global-warming potential, making the unit more environmentally friendly than older refrigerants. The touch-control panel displays the current temperature and allows precise adjustment. An automatic defrost cycle pauses when needed to avoid interrupting service, and condensate is removed automatically to keep the interior dry. The door can be locked to prevent unauthorised access, and the LED lighting can be specified in either cool white (6000 K) or warm white (2700 K) to suit the display setting. The 0.305 kW power rating indicates the load the unit places on the electrical circuit. The temperature range of +4 °C to +16 °C covers both long-term storage and short-term chilling for service. The footprint of 810 mm wide by 500 mm deep fits into most back-bar or retail layouts, while the 2100 mm height allows bottles to be stacked without exceeding standard worktop levels. The noise emission below 43 dB(A) ensures the cooler does not intrude on conversation in dining or tasting areas. The seamless stainless-steel interior wipes clean in seconds, letting you maintain a spotless display without disturbing the chilled bottles behind the locked glass door. The automatic condensate removal system reduces the need for manual drying inside the cabinet. Shelving and internal fittings are ordered separately, allowing the layout to be customised for bottle sizes and display preferences. The WD5/121 meets Climate Class 4, guaranteeing reliable operation in ambient temperatures up to +30 °C and relative humidity up to 55%, making it suitable for restaurants, wine shops and bars where room conditions can vary.
