GEMM WL6/422S Wine Display Cooler for Professional Use

A wine display cooler maintains precise, stable temperatures to preserve the flavour and ageing potential of wine. The unit circulates chilled air evenly across every shelf, preventing hot or cold spots that could spoil the bottles. The cooler's compressor and fan work continuously to remove heat from the cabinet, while an automatic defrost cycle melts any ice that forms on the evaporator, ensuring uninterrupted cooling performance.

The operator loads up to 512 bottles through the single-side door, organising them on the adjustable shelving system. The touch control panel on the front sets each of the four zones to a temperature between +4 °C and +16 °C, and the digital display confirms the current readings. Internal LED lighting illuminates the bottles, and the brightness can be dimmed remotely to suit the ambient lighting of the room. A lockable door secures the stock overnight or during service.

The cabinet is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen or retail environment. The exterior can be custom-painted to match the décor, while the interior remains hygienic and reflective. An eco-friendly R290 refrigerant circulates through the sealed system, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact. The monoblock condensing unit operates at low noise, making it suitable for open-plan dining areas or shops where background sound matters.

A 1.96 kW power rating indicates the load the unit places on the electrical circuit; it requires a dedicated 230 V single-phase supply. The footprint of 3300 mm by 550 mm fits against a wall or between counters, while the 2200 mm height allows bottles to be displayed at eye level. The cooler complies with Climate Class 4, meaning it performs reliably in ambient temperatures up to +30 °C with 55% relative humidity, conditions common in British professional kitchens and retail spaces.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel interior and exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The automatic condensate elimination system removes water from the defrost cycle, so no manual draining is needed. Shelving and internal fittings are ordered separately, allowing the operator to choose the layout that best suits the bottle sizes and display style.

The WL6/422S is a one-side door version; internal LED lighting is included as standard, with warm lighting available on request. A custom-painted finish can also be specified to integrate the unit with the surrounding décor.
