GEMM XFC/75 Refrigerated Cabinet with Freezer

A refrigerated cabinet with an integrated freezer compartment keeps chilled and frozen goods at separate, stable temperatures within a single footprint. The cooling system circulates cold air through a fan, drawing heat from the stored items and expelling it outside the cabinet. Insulation slows the transfer of ambient heat, while a thermostat cycles the compressor to maintain the set points. The freezer section lowers the temperature below the freezing point of water, halting bacterial growth and preserving perishables for extended storage. The chilled section holds food just above freezing, slowing spoilage without altering texture or flavour.

The operator loads GN 2/1 containers onto the adjustable rails, sets the desired temperatures for each compartment via the touch panel, and closes the door. The automatic defrost cycle melts accumulated ice without manual intervention, and condensate evaporates without collecting in a tray. LED lighting illuminates the interior when the door opens, and the lock secures the contents during service.

The cabinet is constructed from deep-drawn stainless steel, forming seamless internal walls that resist corrosion and simplify cleaning. An 80 mm insulation layer separates the compartments from the outer skin, reducing heat ingress. The ventilated cooling system distributes cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing hot spots and ensuring consistent preservation. Rails with 55 mm pitch and 24 positions allow the shelves to be organised for different container heights.

The touch control panel displays the current temperature and allows precise adjustment of the chilled and frozen zones. An automatic defrost function and condensate evaporation reduce daily upkeep. The door lock secures stored goods, and the internal LED lighting provides clear visibility.

A 501 L capacity accommodates bulk storage in a standardised GN 2/1 format, fitting the workflow of professional kitchens. The 0.36 kW and 0.485 kW power ratings reflect the load on a single-phase 230 V circuit, typical of commercial kitchen supplies. A weight of 148 kg requires two people or a trolley for positioning. The 700 mm width, 890 mm depth and 2090 mm height determine the space it occupies on the floor and against the wall. R290 refrigerant offers efficient cooling with a lower environmental impact than older alternatives. Climate class 5 ensures reliable operation in warm, humid environments common in catering facilities.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, removing shelves to reach the interior walls. The automatic defrost and condensate evaporation reduce manual maintenance, though the fan and evaporator coils should be checked periodically for dust accumulation.
