Heat Pump Tumble Dryers DANUBE

Heat pump tumble dryers 11–22 kg

Most industrial dryers blow warm, moist air outside. That means the room needs an exhaust, and along with the moisture goes the heat you have already paid for. A heat pump dryer works in a closed circuit: the moisture is separated from the air and drained away, while the heat stays inside the machine and is used again.

The Danube HPi GOLD range is built precisely for rooms with no access to the outdoors. Danube states that the design makes commissioning considerably easier without sacrificing efficiency or the best use of the available space. Available in 11, 14, 18 and 22 kg.

It is chosen for sites in older and heritage buildings where an exhaust cannot be cut into the façade, for rented premises, basements and inner rooms with no external wall, and by hotels, spas, nursing homes and laundries where the energy balance matters.

Why a heat pump

  • No external exhaust required — the main reason this range gets chosen. No drilling through the façade, no approval from the building manager or heritage authority.
  • Simpler installation — less building work and faster commissioning.
  • Optimised energy consumption — the heat is not blown outside but stays in the cycle.
  • Easier maintenance — access to all components from the rear panel.
  • Lower environmental impact compared with a conventional vented solution.

Standard equipment

  • Easy Touch 2 control with a 7" touchscreen, fully programmable.
  • Care Dry humidity sensor as standard — the cycle ends as soon as the set moisture level is reached, with no over-drying.
  • Double door glass as standard.
  • Reversing drum as standard — linen does not rope up and dries evenly.
  • Stainless steel drum as standard.
  • Soft Dry — a drum with stamped holes that handles fabric gently.
  • Cool Down — cooling at the end of the cycle to prevent creasing.
  • Wide 180° door opening and a large filter drawer.

Frequently asked questions

Is an external exhaust really not needed?
Correct, and that is the defining difference of this range. A heat pump dryer runs in a closed circuit, so there is no moist air to expel. That makes it possible to install a dryer in a basement, an inner room with no external wall, or a building where the façade must not be touched.

How does a heat pump save energy?
A conventional dryer heats air, passes it through the linen and blows it outside along with the heat. A heat pump separates the moisture from the air and keeps the heat in the circuit, so the same heat is used over and over.

Is the cycle longer than on a conventional dryer?
Heat pump technology works at a lower temperature, so the cycle tends to be longer than on a high-temperature vented dryer. In return the lower temperature is gentler on fabric and consumption per cycle is lower. If maximum throughput is the priority and an exhaust is available, look at the DD GOLD range.

Is a condensate drain needed?
Yes, the moisture separated from the air has to be drained. That is a far simpler job than running an air duct through a wall.

What is Care Dry and why is it standard here?
A humidity sensor that stops the cycle as soon as the linen reaches the set moisture level. It prevents over-drying, which wastes energy and is the main cause of fabric wear.

Does the room need extra ventilation?
A heat pump dryer releases heat into the room. In a small laundry room that is worth allowing for at the planning stage — contact us and we will assess your conditions.
